Sunday: Project

Day 150 of 365:

{Simple, Single Image on Sunday}

20160529_122106

Summer weekends and DIY projects are synonymous.  Little things here and there, small changes to answer all the times I start a question with the words: “What If” and end it in a flurry of domestic ambition.

Today, I changed my tired, faded, blue metal watering can into a lemony-sunshiny-yellow one.

🙂

(Also managed to paint the side of my left foot and my cell phone cover the same bright yellow.  Whoops.)

Happy Sunday!

Sunday: Mom

Day 129 of 365:

{Simple, Single Image on Sunday}

Iris 2

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there – but especially to my mother.

Mom, you’re the best and I wouldn’t be the person I am today with you.

Happy Sunday!

Namaste,

-Janice 🙂

From The Archives: Yellow Iris

(Simple, Single Images During November Because I Am Writing A Novel)

Look!  It’s Archive Day here at Writing The Girl – again!!

Yellow Iris

I featured this yellow iris back in a post back in June.  It remains one of my favourite posts to date.  I love the colours – the yellow and the green are so cheerful.  I love that I remember the day I found these pretty little flowers in the marshy end of the pond on our property.   I love that they surprised me.

Just a moment I wanted to take a moment and relive that warm day back in June – and share it….just one more time…

🙂

(Down to the final 6000 words in my novel – my head is spinning!!!)
