And Another…

Day 118 of 365:

Abstract, 2nd Post)

I’m thinking people will look at this photo and go “huh?”.  I am also thinking that are some of you will know what this is.

I am confident, however, that there is at one person on this planet that will not only know exactly what this is, but will also be able to state the make, model and year of manufacture.

Yes, Dad.  I am dedicating this abstract piece to you….

( I blogged yesterday about cropping and structuring an image to hint at what may exist beyond the borders of the frame.  Here is another example of one of my more “abstract” photographic compositions.)

Busy writing today – just a quick post so I don’t get too distracted!

Day 117 of 365:

{Weekly Photo Challenge: Abstract}

It was hard for me to choose, so here are four:

My love of abstract art often shows up in my photography.  I like to see how far into my subjects I can crawl with my lens.  Often the resulting image seems to be made up of bits and pieces, obscured details and mysterious edges.

Saturday: Candle

(Simple, Single Image On Saturday And Sunday)

Candle Holder

This image is in keeping with my current abstract state of mind.  I shot this still life while just wandering around, aiming my camera at whatever caught my eye.  The lighting was horrible, and the original framing of the subject was rather boring.   Sometimes the image you end up with is nothing like the one you started out with…thanks to editing…

Hope your weekend is a little dryer than mine has been so far.  I wonder, how much rain can possibly fall out of the sky at once?

Cheers,

🙂
